Ina May Taylor
Ina May Taylor, 80, passed away on Jan. 26, 2016, at Edgewood Vista Memory Care in Missoula Mont. Ina May was born in southern Minnesota and grew up on the family farm; the eldest of 6 children. She attended and graduated from Mankato College where she received her teaching degree. It was also at Mankato that she met and married Charles Taylor. Over their years together, they lived and worked in South Dakota, Alaska, Texas and finally, Sauk Centre. After teaching elementary school for many years, she retired to north Idaho.
Ina May was a skilled baker, crafter and gardener but her passion was quilting and teaching others to quilt. She was also active in her church and many clubs and activities. She enjoyed traveling around the USA and Europe throughout her life. After retiring, she spent a year traveling around the states in an RV visiting friends and family and looking for a new home to retire. In the end, the mountains of northern Idaho won and she made her new home there. She loved the beauty of northern Idaho.
Ina May is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Taylor. She is survived by her daughter, Leslie Taylor, son-in-law Bob Edwards of Seattle, daughter Carey Taylor, son-in-law Philippe Landais of Missoula, Mont., and grandchildren Dylan, Kailin and Morgan. She is also survived by her three sisters and two brothers. Ina May was also fortunate to have had many true friendships throughout her life and we are thankful for every one of them.
We are grateful to Candy Crocker who is a caregiver, a friend and a treasured member of our family. We would also like to express our gratitude to the staff at Edgewood Vista Memory Care in Missoula and the hospice staff who cared for her lovingly and compassionately.
